Industrial coolers for factories, warehouses and large sheds

Industrial air coolers made at our factories in MIDC Murbad, near Mumbai: duct coolers from 18,000 to 50,000 CMH, stainless steel, blower and portable models. Quoted to order.

What is an industrial cooler

Fresh, cooler air for large spaces at a fraction of AC running cost

An industrial cooler, also called an industrial air cooler, pulls hot outside air through wet cellulose cooling pads. As the water evaporates it takes heat out of the air, and a large axial or centrifugal fan pushes that cooler, fresh air into the factory, warehouse or shed.

Because it uses only a fan and a small water pump, with no compressor or refrigerant, an industrial cooler can cool large, open or semi-open spaces that air conditioning cannot handle economically. It works with doors, windows and roof vents open, and it replaces stale, hot air instead of recirculating it.

E-Cool manufactures industrial coolers at MIDC Murbad, near Mumbai: modular duct coolers from 18,000 to 50,000 CMH, a stainless steel model for harsh sites, a centrifugal blower cooler, and wheeled coolers for open areas and events.

Sizing

How many industrial coolers do you need?

For duct coolers, catalogue coverage is the starting point: one 18,000 CMH unit covers up to 1,000 sq ft, 22,000 CMH up to 1,200 sq ft, 25,000 CMH up to 1,500 sq ft, 30,000 CMH up to 2,000 sq ft and 50,000 CMH up to 3,000 sq ft.

Roof height, the heat given off by machines and furnaces, how many people work in the space and how well hot air can escape all change the final count. Use the duct cooler calculator for a first estimate; our team confirms it on a site visit. Site visits are free in Mumbai and nearby areas of Maharashtra; for other locations a visit fee is charged based on the location.

Where they work

Industries we cool

Factories and workshops

Production floors, forging, fabrication and assembly lines where heat slows people down.

Warehouses and logistics

Large floors and loading bays, often paired with HVLS fans to spread the cool air.

Greenhouses and poultry

Cooling pad walls and exhaust fans for controlled growing and poultry houses.

Events and tents

Garden, tent and blower coolers for pandals, weddings and exhibitions.

Kitchens and restaurants

Spot cooling and fresh air for commercial and cloud kitchens.

Institutions and halls

Ducted cooling for halls, schools and places of worship where AC is too costly to run.

Why E-Cool

Buy from the manufacturer

Made in our own factories

Industrial cooler or AC?

When an industrial cooler is the better choice

Industrial coolerAir conditioning
How it coolsEvaporation through wet pads; fan and small pumpCompressor and refrigerant
Air100% fresh outside air, doors can stay openRecirculated air in a closed room
Running costLow: 1.1 to 4.5 kW for 1,000 to 3,000 sq ft per unitHigh for large or open spaces
Best climateHot and dry to moderately humidAny, including very humid weather
Best forFactories, warehouses, sheds, semi-open areasOffices, server rooms, sealed spaces

In very humid weather an evaporative cooler cools less, because the air cannot take up as much water. For most of India's hot season, and for any space that cannot be sealed, an industrial cooler gives far more cooling per rupee.

FAQ

Industrial Coolers: common questions

What is an industrial cooler?

An industrial cooler is a large evaporative air cooler for factories, warehouses and sheds. It draws hot air through wet cooling pads, cools it by evaporation and blows fresh, cooler air into the space using a fan and a small pump instead of a compressor.

How much area does one industrial cooler cover?

E-Cool duct coolers cover up to 1,000 sq ft (18,000 CMH) to 3,000 sq ft (50,000 CMH) per unit. Roof height, heat load and ventilation change the count, so we confirm it on a site visit.

Is an industrial cooler better than AC for a factory?

For large, open or semi-open spaces, yes in most cases: it costs far less to run, brings in fresh air and works with doors open. AC is better for small sealed rooms or where humidity must be controlled.

How much water does an industrial cooler use?

E-Cool duct coolers use about 10–15 litres an hour (18,000 CMH) up to 25–30 litres an hour (50,000 CMH), depending on heat and humidity.

Do industrial coolers need three-phase power?

No. The 18,000, 22,000, 25,000 and 30,000 CMH duct coolers come in single phase (220 V) or three phase (415 V). The 50,000 CMH model is three phase only.

What warranty do E-Cool industrial coolers have?

Industrial duct coolers carry a 3-year warranty on the body and 1 year on the motor. The motor warranty applies when a phase preventer is fitted.

What is the HSN code for E-Cool industrial coolers?

E-Cool invoices its industrial coolers under HSN 8414 59 30.

Can government buyers order through GeM?

Yes. E-Cool Industries is registered as a seller on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). Contact our sales team for the listing.

Do you supply outside Maharashtra?

Yes. We have installations and dealers across India and export to Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Site visits are free in Mumbai and nearby areas of Maharashtra; for other locations a visit fee is charged based on the location.
